Play Day

Mom, Rita, Bobbi and I spent the day together. We had the waitress at the resertaunt take this picture of us when we were stuffed from lunch.......
I am not photogenic, so I hesitate to post the picture, but everyone else looks great!

Ouch!

Breannan was bitten in nursery, and now he likes to bite Cade. Annie and I bought some food from the food co-op and I picked it up today and went over to deliver to Annie. [As an aside, I definately didn't deliver quite enough to Annie.....whow, there was tons of produce: What do you do with eggplant? I have 6] Anyway: Cade had a bandaid on his finger (Annie said broken skin on both sides.....ouch).......Plus a full set of teeth marks on his arm. I 'kissed' him better and he said, "I don't know why Brennan bited me.....I'm not food!"

Kristen found her wedding dress

We went shopping yesterday in Logan and found a beautiful wedding dress for Kristen! [On the clearance rack to boot!] She will be beautiful.....well, she IS already beautiful, but you know what I mean.

Right or Wrong?.........

We were 'supposed' to have $3000 tomorrow placed in an escrow account at our lawyers office as a first instalment of 'exit' money to the Ure's. Except, we really shouldn't owe them a dime! We tried this method of expelling the people from the property: as if it were a rental agreement. However, the contract clearly states that any default reverts to immediate possession to the seller of the property. Dad and I are going to go to a better Real Estate attorney (ours was an attorney, but not a RE attorney).......and see what our options would be for just suing them for breech of contract, instead of a rental eviction. I told dad that I would rather an attorney got our money instead of Cory and Esther, when they have been so grossly negligent! The unpaid utilities alone are negligent! So.......we shall see what happens.
What a pain. But, as dad is determined to become very aggressive in real estate investing this coming year, I guess we better learn the ropes. The Robert Allen group said that they ONLY sell properties on Contract for Deed, as even one day late returns property to them......
So, we shall see what a real estate attorney does! The Robert Allen Group said (when dad explained our situation)......"That judge was an idiot".......which goes right along with a lawyer that I was talking to with a client of mine [where the seller can't close because of too many property liens].......and his comment was "Utah has hundreds of idiots, and most of them wear black robes." Too bad we got one of those!

Our green grass :)

Green Velvet........
It was too shady in the backyard to get a good picture. We couldn't afford a BIG evergreen in the corner, so we put in a tiny little one, with faith that it would grow!Perfection!

A terrible horrible no good very bad day.......

Well, most of you know the court outcome........it is still 'impossible' to get Cory and Esther out of our house--could take as long as a year, and cost a ton of $$ in court costs [Amazing how our justice system is not very 'just'.......] Also odd the the judge took less than one minute, saw that it was a contract that was violated and said, "This needs to go to court." [Weren't we in court?]
Anyway........the 'funny ' part was when we came out to dad's truck, the security system went off....someone had been in the truck, opened up dad's briefcase---and of all of the things they could have taken: they took his lunch! Too funny.
Then we were excited when we got to the office to find two loan approvals---so that was fabulous!! By late afternoon we got new faxes that were recinding the approvals........
Somehow, we just can't 'win'. We are waiting for Michael to make a million $$$ and bail us out, I guess :) I don't know how dad can take much more in the 'tough breaks' department. I'm about done in.....
Cade and Brennan and EmmaRay and Annie came to visit at the office, and so that was a joyful thing. Boy, for Annie to have to carry Cade and EmmaRay and have little Brennan totter on behind........I hope she doesn't plan on going too many places!!! (Can't use strollers in our building, as it has too many stairs......).
I guess this is my way of saying, "Don't stop praying for us, we still need it."

I'm tired........

I have worked really hard for the last 4 days, and I am really tired and a bit stiff and sore!!!
Otherwise, it has been a bit of a quiet, lonely week. While working (cleaning houses for Annie and Michael), I listened to Books on Tape........It was kind of nice to work physically, listen to something entertaining, yet kind of mindless........and forget about everything else for a while!
Well, back to my reality!
Love and miss you all by the way!

Yeah

We talked to the lawyer for us today. He said he would be at court with us,
and we don't need any retainer fee, and he will charge around $300. Better
than we dared hope for.
:)

So sad

Last night dad got a late night call......the Bishop of 1st ward committed suicide.
Dad rushed over to the church (where it was said to have happened). He actually shot himself in the field right next to the church. The state presidency was all up at girls camp, but they rushed back to comfort the widow and their children. The wife said that she found the suicide note.
How sad for that family, and the ward, and the stake. I wonder what was so disparing?

Oh......we have a court date: Aug. 12th.
