Wow, a warm and sunny day!

Last night we went to an outdoor concert at Taylersville days. It POURED and POURED and POURED down rain. Let up just enough for a bit of the concert. They were expecting 10,000 people.......and there were only about 300, so he only did a bit of the show. It was Jason Hewlett (who is Elders Quorum Pres. in our Stake--Dad knows him well).......and he is a NUT. He didn't put on his whole show because of the weather and the lack of crowd, but he is a funny guy. His mouth and facial gyrations are hilarious.
Anyway, today is warm and sunny, James and Allie are on their way......and we're praying for a safe trip for them.
Love you!

Happy Father's Day Everyone!

One Great DAD!
It poured down rain earlier, but is now sunny and beautiful. Enjoy the day everyone. {It is ten minutes later........I lied about the sunny and beautiful. It's POURING!}

:) for me!

I went to a temp agency. They had me take a typing test, excel test, word test, math test, English grammar test, and a loan processor test (that was 5 years outdated......). They told me I scored 20% higher than anyone else ever had. Your mom's not so dumb! Doesn't mean they'll find me a job, but still....................! I don't want a job. I just want Steve's business to make $$. However, I will take a job if I get one, of course.

Storm of the century

It was a dark and stormy NOON!

All of this was heading for the window well.........

Running in buckets down the street

This was what was left of the hail after 2 hours of 'bailing' and tons of rain on top of it.
Pictures don't do this storm justice. We were lucky, I started bailing as soon as I noticed the water coming in.....however, it was raining SO hard, I had a hard time keeping up with the amount poring in. It got up to about 15 inches above the sill level of the window........pouring in as fast as I could bail, but we ended up with only about 20 gallons of water in the basement, and hundreds of gallons out in the street. I was feeling desperate, and facing a losing battle. I called in reinforcments to help. (DAD). Now we're both soaked. Dad, being dad, also went to help his home teaching families bail after he was done with ours.

Huge Splashy Downpours and Hail Every Day

The thunder and lightening that accompany this is incredible!!

Self portrait

It is really odd to take a picture of yourself........, but I thought I'd show Allie (because she commented) how long my hair is getting. Another 3 inches, particularly in the bangs, and it might be manageable. Right now it is annoying, with one good hair day in 10......!! [This was not one of the good hair days.......]

Last day of school

Today was the last day of school at Granite High. (Forever, as the school is closing). Lisa made a fantastic Granite High picture, which I hope that she puts on her blog. I went to the staff lunch which was downtown, and then I went through the SL temple. Then I went back for graduation. It was fairly nice, though outdoors and VERY windy. 69 graduates. Small school..........
I enjoyed the subbing there.......It's been a pretty good two years. Because the kids knew me, there were only a few instead of a class of cruel to sub type students at Granite. And a few even thought I was 'cool'.
I LOVE the terrestrial room in the SL temple.
The only thing I didn't love was they didn't have enough temple workers to point directions...and I got lost more than once!
Had a HUGE lunch (from the staff luncheon), but need at least a piece of toast or a banana because lunch was at 11:30........and it is now 9:00 pm. It's FRIDAY. I'm TIRED............................................
And now it's SUMMER!

FYI

I bought a kind of powered milk for storage, brand name 'Country Fresh Farms'. We were out of milk the other day, so I made up a pitcher. I have never even imagined such good powered milk. There was NO difference in taste to it and fresh milk. NONE! I would suggest it........:)
