Sunday afternoon

Even though the name 'pansy' has a negative connotation......when you look at that cute pansy face, is it any wonder that my YW personal symbol (back in the olden days when you chose a personal symbal) was a pansy! I loved them then, I love them now! Purple is the best, but this yellow and maroon will do!!
Cade found a patch of Daisies. Look at that cute boy!
Going up to cross the bridge across the lake. It was very windy.

The wind was blowing hard, and the windchimes were driving everyone crazy......so Lisa solved the problem!!!

Here's your recipe Merilee

Cornmeal Loaves (Very delicious)
6-6 1/2 cups flour
2 pkgs yeast
2 1/4 cups milk, scalded and cooled, or powdered milk made with warm water
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c shortening
1 T salt
2 eggs
1 c cornmeal

In large mixer bowl combine 3 cups flour and the yeast. Combine the milk, sugar, melted shortening and salt and add to dry mixture in the bowl. (Make sure it is not too hot or too cold for the yeast). Add eggs. Beat with electric mixer for 3 min at high speed. By hand stir in 1 cup cornmeal and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl, turning once. Cover and let rise in a warm place till double (about 1 1/2 hours). Punch down and shape into 2 loaves......place in greased 9 by5 by 3 loaf pan. Cover, let rise till double (about 45 min). Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with cornmeal. bake at 375 about 45 min. Makes 2 LARGE loaves.
Really, really yummy bread........:)
