James had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

However, he also has a super attitude and laughed when he told me about it. First he woke up with a sinus infection. {Those of us who have suffered with those know how HORRIBLE they are}. As he was looking up a Dr. on his computer, his computer died the blue screen of death. He went to the store to buy a new video card to fix the computer.....but to no avail. [How does this effect Allie's book?]. So, now he needs to shop for a new computer. He and Ben went to the pond store to buy a pump for his pond and river in his back yard, and while he was installing it he knelt on a wasps nest. His knee still stung 12 hours later! Today is a new day :)

I liked this recipe

I don't know how this is going to taste after sitting and blending the flavors overnight.....but I made the following for dinner (lentil soup and this salsa and chips).......but last night's taste test was fabulous. So, I thought I'd share. I rarely actually buy all of the ingredients for a recipe....but I made this EXACTLY. Hope you like it too.......refreshing!

2 cups freshly chopped pineapple
1 can beans, any kind, rinsed and drained (I used red beans).....pinto, kidney, garbanzo, etc.
1 can (8.5 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup chopped green, red, yellow or orange pepper or combination. (I used green and orange)
2 T chopped fresh cilantro. (I don't like cilantro, but it was good in this......I bought the real thing)
1-2 t seeded and chopped jalapeno pepper
1/2 c finely chopped red onion
1/2 t grated lime peel
2 T lime juice.
Mix all together. Cover and chill to allow flavors to blend. Serve with grilled salmon and asparagus, or serve as a dip with tortilla chips or spoon over quesadillas or tacos. [We're using it as a dip with chips]

I think it is yummy!

Baby Shoes

I was bored at dad's office today (I had to be there to answer phones because dad was gone all day) There were tons of really pressing things to do, but I couldn't do them! So I hand sewed these little baby shoes. [I had brought felt, needle and thread and embroider floss with me.] I think they turned out really sweet.

This is to wish you all a very Happy Easter. Did you notice that they put Jeffrey R Hollands talk to a beautiful video for Easter? I wonder what came first.....the assignment for the Easter Video, or the talk? Anyway, the talk was beautiful as is the video. Love you all.

Fun in the rain! At least it was Spring!

Merilee driving me to her house for my wonderful 10 day birthday gift to Portland & Seattle

Dylan, Ezra, Chloie and Merilee playing ball

A beautiful spring day in Seattle

Ezra enjoying Sara's backyard

Summer and Dylan both took a turn on the Zip Line. (Looked fun!)

Elisabeth being her cute and so sweet self

Heading off to adventure in Downtown Seattle

Seeing how Dylan measures up to the world's tallest man.

Jarom admiring the flowers at Pike Street Market. They are gorgeous, and cheap......but would only take cash, which I spent on donuts and strawberries for the troups.

Making a wish at the brass pig in Pike Street Market

We all played in the foam pit. Of course I have pictures of everyone in the pit, but it takes too long to upload pictures, so Sara and Elisabeth were the sample of fun. I wish I had a movie of Meri's face plant dive in. Looked great, but she said it hurt a little!

Joshua playing on the slippery slide at the gym

Meri with Ezra and Elisabeth

Jarom, Ezra, Joshua and Jazelle (Joie's) eating dinner at Bobbi's

Ezra getting his haircut.

Jarom showing me a new little chicken.

Meri and Lance got 4 new baby chickens while I was there. So soft and cute!

Look who came to visit. Do you recognize Melissa Eyre? Cute and sweet girl.
