???? The home nightmare

We received a notice back (which is what has to happen when you are given a summons)....from the people living in our house. Their 'back' stated the following:
"We (Steve and I) are not owners of the property." [Then why is our name on the deed?]
They AGREE that they are residents of the property.
They disagree that we have a written agreement.....[Then what is that document they signed?]
Agreed that they were served a 5 day notice, but disagree that they got a copy of that notice. ???
Disagree that they did not compy with the notice. [It was a 5 day vacate the premisis notice--and they are still there, so how can they disagree???]
Disagree that we are entitled to remove them for non payment.
Disagree that they have caused any 'loss' or damage to the property.
Disagree that we can have the rents trebled (Utah law) for every day they stay there past the 5 days.
Their lawyer wrote up all of the above.
Doesn't make sense to me.
However, it scares me to 'death', and can'tlet me sleep. Mainly because I have heard SEVERAL lawyers say that Utah has many idiots, and most of them wear 'black robes'.
I guess the worst thing that could happen is that the judge would give the home to the Ures, and, in that case, we would just quit paying the housepayment, and let the property foreclose--which would be a huge sadness.......
