Scrabble

Our last game of Scrabble had really strange words in it like foveola, but this one takes the cake. Our first three words are: folic, pilei and binits. Come on now..............!!!!

Whew!

Okay, I find it fairly easy to babysit when that is all I have to do.....play with them, maybe read some stories. But when I have to add in cooking, laundry, etc......, it is exhausting. Did I really used to have those skills? Anyway, it was a fun afternoon when Annie was off to the Temple Dedication Celebration. Cute and sweet and I love them...........................:) IT WAS SO FUNNY--I WAS COOKING DINNER, AND CADE AND BRENNAN WERE PLAYING. I TUNED INTO WHAT THEY WERE PLAYING. THEY HAD DUMP TRUCKS AND BLOCKS AND THEY WERE PLAYING 'DROP THINGS OFF AT D.I." I LOVED IT!!!

Lisa

Dad and I went to Lisa's ward to hear her speak. She was the concluding speaker (Dad calls this the accordion speaker......you have to be flexible, in or out......) Their ward leads the music VERY SLOWLY, so the songs took forever, and the middle speaker was LONG......so Lisa's talk was only 7 minutes [squeeze the air out of those bellows quickly]------but it was SO good. You have an incredible big sister, in case you didn't know. And she is lucky to have incredible younger siblings. Hmmmmm......we have a great family :)! I thought I already loved Lisa as much as I could, but I was wrong.......I love her more.

Western Meadowlark

Dad is working out in the garage whistling the tune of a Western Meadowlark while the Meadowlarks in the field are answering him back! Pretty sweet!

IQ

Just FYI, I just took an IQ test: {Written, not on the computer}, and I scored 152, which they say is 'gifted', which is above excepti0nal, excellent and above average.............which is better than poor, mediocre, below average or even average........So I guess I can go clean the bathrooms now with confidence!

Normal Rainbow

It was nice to see a 'normal' rainbow, after the weird squashed one previously!

You know you're in Utah when........

.......you are substituting in nursery, and a little kid throws a toy out the window---and the little girl standing next to him actually shouts: "Oh my heck, he threw the airplane out the window!"

This is dad at work. He spends about 7 hours a day on the phone. Then he stays another 3-6+ hours to get the work done he couldn't because he was on the phone. Dad said he has been dreaming of high school. He has been thinking about football practice, teachers, track, etc., and it is just like yesterday. He said it hit him REALLY hard that he graduated 40 years ago in June!
As he said, "Forty YEARS.......seems like just last week. Everything is still vivid and clear in my mind, like high school was yesterday. I can't believe it has been 40 years..........."
Me. I didn't love high school. I don't think about it at all except to be glad I don't have to step over strung out bodies in the parking lot, or watch my alcoholic band director march across the field. {Not a pretty sight} Or be there when the principal committed suicide. Great high school memories I know!! That is why I don't think about it. I remember back to a house full of little children, and the absolute JOY of every day!! THAT seems like yesterday!

Funny rainbow

Well, two [now three] bizarre things........First, this rainbow was SO low to the ground.......like half an arch. We've never seen a rainbow be so low to the ground. The second weird thing is that the next picture uploaded sideways. It is right side up in my pictures.......I tried making it smaller, etc. Taken at the same time with the same camera. Reuploaded. So, I guess it is just a strange rainbow all around. 5/5/2009 I 'edited' the blog today (that sideways rainbow bothered me), re-uploaded the SAME picture, and it came out right today.......It must have been a blogger issue!!! Hurrah!

Annie and Michael are on vacation

Annie and family are gone for a week......since I bug her at least 3 times a day, it will seem very lonely around here for me.........! Sea World and the Beach sounds GREAT!
