I was talking to dad on the phone today while I was subbing. I stopped and hollered "Get off the table....'now'!" to a couple of kids. [Two kids were lying on the table...a boy on the bottom, a girl top of him--a nasty girl with a huge hole in her jeans that showed her entire bottom] When I got back on the phone dad said, "That was YOU that spoke like that?" Well, yes, it was!!! Unfortunately, you can't say to them, "Hey, sweeties, could you please get off the table and sit in the chairs now.." Not only wouldn't they do it, but they wouldn't even know that you had spoken to them.
Like one teacher today said, "I don't know what to do with some of the kids--it is hard to have to be angry or mean all of the time.......but if you aren't there is NO control at all."

One more thing.
I was leaving school yesterday and my car wouldn't start. So, I ran back in to get Lisa, so I would have a ride home. She was gone already. I banged around on the battery, and finally got it started, and drove to dad's office. It quit again. We played around with the battery, and got it started. It quit 4 times today. I went to Walmart, bought and installed the new battery. Still NOTHING. It wouldn't start. I felt sick.......
I went back in, bought some battery corrosion remover for the battery cables. Soaked them real good......and Voila, the car started right up!! [Just as dad finally got there to rescue me....]
More than I had to spend, but LESS than it could have been. We consider a battery a blessing!

Ouch
Dad stopped at the store on the way home and bought milk and bread and four oranges. He said he paid $5.00 for the four oranges. OUCH! We better enjoy the rind, too!!

This is about all of the pictures that I took on my 'Old' camera. I probably should have had someone help me figure out how to download the new pictures from my new camera while you were all here!!!.....It might be this weekend before I can get to that. This is a hugely busy week. Hurray, though, I just sold my listing (well, an offer is coming in tonight........so that is GREAT) That house was a hard one to sell, as it had two phone boxes and the big square electrical box as well as the fire plug in the front yard!!! But, an offer is coming in tonight! Yeah!
Thank you for my 'new' camera.......I can't wait to see the pictures from that one, plus all of the pictures that you all took. Hurrah, fun weekend. Thank you all for coming!!!

My turn: 5 things you might not know about me.
It is very hard to think of 5 things that nobody knows about me.........:)
1. Annie, in Oregon I could only use a towel once; but here, I use two.....one for face/hair and one for body--and I use them all week. Doesn't bother me a bit.
2. I spend part of every day (most every day), working on math problems for fun. When I am bored being a substitute, I sit at the desk and do math. Makes the time fly by.
3. I hate it when I wander around the house not finishing one task or the other, but waste time 'going in circles'. [I go through days and sometimes weeks when that is how I feel]. I LOVE it when I have a hugely busy day where I accomplish a ton, and a variety of things: such as clean the house, do some baking, sew or create something, finish the laundry, make a scrumptious meal, take a walk, read a book, teach school (especially if I get to see Lisa when subbing), sell a house, help out Annie or somebody else, play with Cade and Brennan, write a letter, practice the piano, read the scriptures, say meaningful prayers and spend every minute busy, busy, busy. That is pure joy. [Winning at Scrabble might be a nice experience, too!]
4. I played paperdolls by the hour when I was little. I loved paper dolls, and was so glad when I finally was old enough to cut them out for myself, because it always took mom and Bobbi FOREVER to get them cut out for me! My mom said I used to hold them by the head and spank them, so all of my paper dolls had broken necks, but I don't remember ever doing that. I only remember loving them all.
5. When I am in a group of people, I grow HUGE like Alice in Wonderland and take up WAY, WAY, WAY too much space. It makes me wish I were a little person like Marie, 'cause then I might not feel so big.
6. Something that you DO know! : I love you all so much!

Kristen went to the temple
It was really a wonderful experience to be able to go through the temple with Kristen yesterday. She looked so beautiful, and so sweet and pure: as promised 'clean every whit'. What an added joy when Kristen and I walked into the endowment room and found that Annie and Michael were the witness couple!!! Lisa said it was interesting to watch the man choosing the witness couple to come forward, scan the audience in the chapel, have his eyes rove from couple to couple and then go back and focus on Annie and Michael, go around to the back and pick them!! Made it extra special for Kristen. It was just a totally sweet experience......and nice for me to be able to participate looking through 'fresh eyes'. Again, the temple feels like 'home'.
Loved it all......especially when dad, Lisa, Annie, Michael and Kristen and Alex all walked through into the celestial room. I was the 'first' person in from that session and got to be the one welcoming my family one by one. Sweet.

Just one more thing.......!!
I woke up out the the blue this morning with Athlete's foot! I have never had athlete's foot before, I have had no indication of athlete's foot.......yet this morning it is terrible between ALL of my toes.........Itchy and sore. Must have been from the day I wore sandals to a public school.......
Miserable stuff. Hope it goes away quickly.
