Is it ok to be tired.......
Today I got up early, because last night I left the book I was reading in such an intreguing spot that I couldn't sleep. (John Grisham's The Client) So, I got up early to finish it. Then I was at Annie's by 8:30, had a client appointment at 10 to sign a REPC, ran to Granite High School to Sub for 2 periods, ran to dad's office to fax off the REPC, went to Office Max to get dad some 1099 forms, took them back to dad's office, ran back to Annie's. Galloped Cade and Brennan around the house, tossed them on Annie's bed (it is really soft and they like to be thrown on it)....Started their dinner, stopped at the grocery store, came home, cleaned the kitchen and emptied our d.w....did some R.E. on the computer, got the mail...well, you get the picture...it was a busy day. Aren't we thankful for late evenings, and a soft bed!!
A happy blessing for ME!!
Guess what I found in my purse today? Just when I really, really needed it? First you have to realize that I always just keep my purse in the trunk of the car unless I go in to a store. That way if I am anywhere (like at school, or Annie's, or church), I 'have' it, but I don't have to carry it around or worry about someone taking it, etc. WELL.......today I opened it up and there was one $100 bill! Joy! So, that was my special 'gift' today. I think is was one I had in there a long time ago and thought I had spent......but now when I needed it, there it was! Oh happy day.

Grandma T comes to visit

Here is grandpa, the lunchen is over, and the gym is about clean, and we are about ready to leave for home.....I got safely home about 10:00 pm.
I only took two photo's at the funeral yesterday....this one of mom and my aunt Edith and grandpa walking into the church for the luncheon. It was a whopping 24 degrees outside. That made the graveside part rather chilly. They had a 21 gun salute, which was nice, as he was a Korean War vet. The funeral was lovely.......and my Uncle Karl one of the most handsome of men. I wanted to take pictures of a lot of the extended family, but I don't love people taking pictures at a funeral, seems too sacred for a photo.

Allie asked for this......
Here is Annie where she has sat or lain (is that a word?) for the last 5 weeks! (Excepting for a few trips to our house......) In a day in the life of 'me', I should have included Annie, though I don't do much for her except make her food and do her dishes. Today Annie felt like drawing, so she made a beautiful rose, using colored pencil.
My life also includes coming home and making dinner for Dad and I , and then I spend a few hours on the computer doing some Real Estate and then stare mindlessly at a Perry Mason or Emergency DVD for 1/2 hour or so......then read my scriptures, and then one chapter of a book, and then I sleep and wake up and do it all over again the next day.

I'm new at this.....
Sorry about the spacing at the bottom of A day in my life.........It looked fine before I pushed 'publish this'.........and then it lengthened itself.........! Oh well.
A day in my life.......

Didn't I just?
All this 'white' place is where dad JUST shoveled.......the 'blank' space is where he just re-shoveled! This is probably the biggest, quickest snowfall we have ever had here, in 10 years.
Why have we lived here 10 years anyway?
Dad, Attempting to Shovel........!!!
This is a good 8-10 inches of snow, which dad is now trying to shovel off the driveway. Trouble is, it is falling nearly as fast as he can shovel, so now there is nearly an inch where he just 'finished'!
This was an unexpected thing to wake up to. Now--How is Kristen supposed to get back over the mountains to school today....???

Cade had a set back in his potty training when his mom went on bedrest. So, we gave him a rest.....but thought it was time to start again, since life is more routine again. I brought his potty chair to my house when he was over here, but then I forgot to take it back to his house the next morning. I stopped at Walmart on my way over to their house. While picking up a few things, I remembered the potty chair. It was worth the $10 to me to just buy a new one for their house, as it was to drive back home and get it. Let me tell you.....Cade and Brennan had more fun playing on that potty chair--stepping stool--I couldn't have bought a more facinating toy! You never know what will bring a smile to their faces!!!
I think Annie must look at me cross-eyed.....because I do things like bring in big bowls of snow for them to dig and play in....and all sorts of other messy things. However, I do clean up after our adventures. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

I had told Allie that I didn't take any pictures of the quilts that I had made for Christmas (all 11 of them). Allie kindly sent me this of their three...(Grace got a different kind of quilt, that was actually a ton more work...though not quite as cute....) This picture is made cuter by that little Tessa spread eagle on the floor.
I love it. It about 'killed' me to upload this picture from an email, but I did it! Are you proud?

This is exciting
Since my new 'job' is taking care of Cade and Brennan....here they are just freshly out of the bath with their hair combed all handsome, doing their favorite thing: twirling around in the chair with Grandpa!
I am excited to have a 'blog' of my own (well, shared with dad, of course) so that we can share with each other and stay in close contact. I just read all of the things that this years college freshmen have never not known, such as computers, c.d's, cell phones, etc. I was glad that I still had my little record player for Kristen to sit on the floor and listen to the stories as the records went around and around....there was something so simple and soothing in that experience I think. Not all of modern technology has been in children's best interest, though I would hate to go back and be without it now! [Back to typing on a typewriter with carbon paper....no thank you.......] Or ditto machines and all that messy blue ink!
Let me know if you have any fun innovative way to teach Nephi and his brothers go back for the Brass Plates.........:)
